The Chestatee River Diving Bell story is one that goes back more than 125 years. In 2012 the story was set in stone, and concrete, and timber as the long awaited restoration and display of this one-of-a-kind piece of history was completed. It is now resting beautifully in downtown Dahlonega’s Hancock Park thanks to the vision, the cooperation, the knowledge, the skills, and the generosity of the many partners who were involved in this project. We all are very grateful to those partners for what they all have done to save the Diving Bell and for continuing to tell its story here and around the world.
